Here’s a nice way to teach a child how two colors can mix together to form another (secondary) color.
- Download and print the worksheet.
- Get some yellow, magenta(red) and cyan(blue) paint, some water to rince and a paintbrush.
- Starting with the yellow colour (otherwise it will dirty and won’t work properly), pain the top circle.
- Clean the brush and do another circle. Show your child how the colours mix when they meet each other.
- Complete the third circle.
- When the paint has had a chance to dry, name the colors that are formed between each set of primary colours. Write the colour-name on the corresponding line.
