A Visit to the Science Museum

by Laura

What a busy day we had today! After going to pick up a couple of car seats from a good friend,  we were off to the Telus World of Science, which is an awesome museum for children to explore. They recently hosted the Body Worlds exhibition and I’m kicking myself for not taking the change to go!

One of the neater exhibits for older children is Mystery Avenue. Children are given clues and have to figure out the mystery of the day. They have access to a “crime lab” and crime scenes. At the end, they can exchange conclusions with other participants at the “police station.”

The main reason I took out a membership to TWOS is because of the DiscoveryLand Gallery. This gallery is designed for children 2-8 years of age to play and experiment hands on with differnt materials. From water and building blocks to specially-designed computers, this place can keep children busy discovering new things for hours!

I’m a little sad that my membership is coming to an end. TWOS is scheduled to have a huge LEGO exhibition beginning in December. I guess we’ll just have to buy the tickets!
